The Effects of Stereotypes on Jews

Throughout much of history, Jews have always been victimized, and the stereotypes this group always receives definitely affects their everyday lives. Lets take a look at some of the stereotypes Jews have had to face for centuries now. Jewish people are seen as being very persuasive, powerful, and mighty. Also, they are said to be splitting their honors between the United States of America and Israel. In addition, Jews are said to have very clannish characteristics traits, in addition to being aggressive and greedy. Many unnecessarily think that they are self-absorbed and good businessmen, and this irrational stereotype effects the Jews by creating limitations in people hiring Jewish people to work for them in business. In addition, it may cause Jews to have a more difficult time to communicate with other types of people based off of false information they have obtained from rumored stereotypes. Overall, Anti-Semitism and stereotypes against the Jews have surely increased, but that does not mean they do not exist anymore. In fact, there are many who even still, to this very day, consider these stereotypes and follow through with them. Why is it that people always jump to conclusions, rather than trying to figure out the truth about someone else through their own experiences? That is something people need to learn, so they do not always judge others, but rather try to make a difference in improving society, in opposition to making it a darker place.
